Mrs. Saiyud Poolsavasdi, from Bang Phli district.  Graduated only Grade 4 then was hired to be the un-skilled labor in the sewing factory in Samutprakan province.  She was laid off due to the bad eyesight and aged.

Currently, Mrs. Saiyud  is the group leaders of the Women Career Groups of Samutprakarn province. As the leader and her group member has founded the Center for Agricultural Business Development of BangPu community in 1981 with around 108 members from herself community and the nearby communities.  More community people start to join her group  because the majority of people in this community are the small fishermen with start to have less and less fish to earn, etc. many of them changed to be the un-skilled labors in the factory while some of them start to do their own family business, group business or even any kind of home base business.

Currently Mrs. Saiyud is the Chair of the Career Women Groups under the Center for Agricultural Business Development in BangPu community.  The main products of the groups:  recycled mat, carpet which sold in both retail and wholesale. (Lotus Department Store) and exported to other countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, China and India (but they sell through the middlemen). The other products: bags, picnic bed, flowers, dishwashing liquid, herbal products.

Mrs. Saiyud’s Group members are mostly women, who never got any chance to access to ICT training, last 7 years back,  they were invited by the ICT community learning centers/ the Thai telecentre located in schools to learn how to use fundamental computer then related to be the computer-related businesses, such as a business card, the basic accounting system, etc.  then start to learn more about all kinds of products development, products designed  etc. then develop to be the blog writer, contents creator, and simple post of their new products.

We keep learning and training about how to use ICT for all kinds of business  development, and currently we are quite ok to do all kinds of online business.   We can send the products picture to our customers via internet, we can get order without any travel back and front, we can be more visible  because the ICT can help us doing more public relations, advertising.
