Mrs Sirinut Chimplee is from  Muang district,  Nakhon Pathom province. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sripratum university.   She gained the National Outstanding Farmer Award in 2015 in the category of  “Ornamental fish and aquatic plants”.

In 1999, after the ASEAN economic crisis in 1997 after her graduation and back home  because of no job to do in Bangkok.  She starts to help her family business in  a fish farm “ the ornamental fish farm” category.  It was just a small family business which focusing on only  breeding  and sell to all the middlemen who came to her family and pay.   Then I got some new ideas to see more market chains insteady of only breeding fish at home.  I want to talk to various groups of customers to see their real demands and problems, etc.  then I can get back to develop my farm, etc.

I found lots of creative ways as well as all kinds of challenges so, I start to join all kinds of relevant trainings, meetings as well as direct contact to all relevant agencies.  Then also develop my small famer to be the member of the Ornamental fish Association, there are lots of fish Clubs at different levels which also links with all the relevant academic institutes such as the Faculty of Business Management of  Rajabhat Nakornpratom University, etc. Because among the ornamental fish, the most important is breeding. We must elect good breeder.

I use internet to seek all kinds of relevant information especially about the best breeder both form local and international markets,  then this made our small farm fast famous among all levels of the fish clubs, etc.

Currently “Sirinut Chimpee” as the owner of one of the famous fish breeder the Central region of Thailand.   From the small skills and knowledge and small business with  500 wells and one hundred thousands of ornamental fish, with herself and her family then her husband and other members of the family join the hands to help develop this business to the world known.

“The fish breeder  is considered to be one among the stable career. If we continue our learning and developing ourselves”

“At the first start, people thought that I am crazy because I am the only women with least experiences in this field and especially my education background in non-relevant to this field, etc.”

“But I have to admit that in the early years. Lots of trial and errors because I didn’t have much  knowledge and skills in this category,  I have spent more years to breed on my own. I  started  from the 5- 10 pairs breeding  then gradually increasing more and more”.

“Currently, our small farm won more than 50 beautiful fish award which made our small farm gain more and more  reputation”.

ICT is one among my success tools to help in all kinds of visibility and applicable.  I need to take all kinds of photo to show how beautiful of my new breeding fish to all sectors not only the business competition, it is also among all award competition too.  In the auction fish market, we need to use a very clear and bright photo sending back and forth via the internet channel, etc.

In 2013  my fish was sent to Australia for a contest among the other famous farms in the world, etc. .

“ICT as a tool, both directly and indirectly in the development of my fish business to be more stable, competitive and professional “.

We can use IT to help creating and expanding all kinds of networks to less all kinds of our burdens and costs, we share and learn from each other even though sometimes we never see each other physically, etc. and the most important is ICT as a tool to help more public relations, more marketing accessibility and visibility”.
