The ‘One Million Voices for Work-Life Balance’ campaign has resulted in more public awareness of telecommuting in Malaysia.
The 2016 Hays Asia Salary Guide revealed that about 42 per cent of survey respondents were willing to give up 10 % of salary in order to work from home, while another 23% would sacrifice up to 20 per cent of salary for the same privilege. The issue of work-life balance also fared positively with 34% affirmed that it would be a key factor to stay with an employer.
